Not sure where to post this but the week 3 parkview vs holy trinity game has officially been ruled a forfeit win for holy trinity. Apparently 2 ineligible players played for parkview.

not going to get into it here, but I keep actual scores when a game is played. That reflects a team's true level. I try to then correctly reflect the standings, but that is getting increasingly difficult, as we have quite a few instances of using ineligible players.

BTW, created a new topic for this

Have any details been released regarding the ineligible players for Parkview? Were they academically ineligible or?

Players had graduated from another program in Spring of 2015.

From the TAIAO website:

TAIAO RULES VIOLATIONS AND SANCTION – Parkview Christian Academy

The TAIAO Football Committee has completed an investigation in to the matter of whether ineligible athletes were allowed to participate in football games by Parkview Christian Academy. Here are the findings:

· Players Spencer Titz and Staffan Vincent were not eligible for the 2015 season but were on the official roster of Parkview Christian Academy. The athletes participated in four games.

· Coach Holcomb was aware of the issue, but it is unclear if he knowingly violated the rules, or simply did not follow through on his responsibility as a coach to verify the athletes eligibility

· Coach Holcomb has resigned from Parkview Christian Academy

· Once notified of the possibility of ineligible athletes, Parkview Christian Academy conducted it’s own investigation and immediately removed the ineligible players from the team. It is clear, and records confirm, that Parkview Christian Academy has taken the appropriate steps and done so with the speed and responsibility that anyone could hope and expect.

SANCTIONS

As a result of the above violations the following sanctions have been imposed:

· Parkview Christian Academy must forfeit the games that the ineligible athletes participated in (Live Oak, Holy Trinity, Williamson County, Centex)

· Player Staffan Vincent is prohibited from participation in TAIAO activities for the school year 2015-2016.

· Player Spencer Titz is prohibited from participation in TAIAO activities for the school year 2015-2016.

· Coach Gary Holcomb is prohibited from participation in TAIAO activities for the school years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017. If in the future he returns to any TAIAO organization he will be placed on an automatic one year probation, and must complete a Rules and Policies review class with a member of TAIAO leadership to verify his understanding and commitment to the organization’s policies.

The committee wants to emphasize that it believes that the administration and staff of Parkview Christian Academy acted expeditiously and appropriately when they learned of the possible violations. It is the understanding of the committee that the school administration was not aware of the ineligibility of the players and that they relied on the recommendation of the Athletic Director and Head Coach. They cooperated fully with the committee and no further actions or sanctions are contemplated against the school.

BTW -- Granger,

I understand the idea of keeping the original score after the game has been played, but if a team used ineligible players (that will not be on the team for future games), isn't it more accurate to change the score to 1-0 as with any other forfeit? At least if the team using ineligible players won the game. Seems that would affect the rankings.

Not complaining -- just asking.
