Well we’ve officially made it to the final 4 teams in both division 1 and division 2!
It has certainly been a very long year, but this final stretch should be a lot of fun!
Let me give you a deep dive into the correct predictions of these last few games before the state championship games!
First we have the Klondike Bars taking on Coach Santaland and the Jaybirds! I know everyone has had this game on their radar since the season first started, but unfortunately for the Klondike bars, there’s just no getting around this Jayton team! The Klondike bars are probably the second fastest team that I've seen! Too bad Jayton is #1! I’ve seen a lot of six man football in my day, probably more than anyone else on this site, and I just can’t say that I’ve ever seen a team as talented as these birds are! Great season by the Klondike Bars, but this is Jayton’s division and we’re just living in it!
Jayton - 72
Klondike Bars - 24
Next we have a great one ladies and gentlemen! The Rankin Red Devils are up against the Panthers from Water Valley! Now I know that Water Valley has already dominated the Devils once this year, I also know that Rankin was not at full strength! Don’t let Coach Keeth fool you! Coach Adios has made so much improvement to this Red Devil team that I really can’t see a way the Panthers slow these healthy devils down! This will be a heavyweight fight at the beginning of the game, but the Red Devils will just slowly pull away from the Panthers!
Rankin - 54
Wet Valley - 6
Next we have the game that everyone has been waiting for! We have the clean cut Richland Springs program with Jerry B at the helm up against Superintendent Lee and his Grey Pups! Superintendent Lee has been so deep in big time superintendent paperwork that he won’t even have time to game plan for the Coyotes! Plus he tried to take a page out of Mike Reid's book and buy a cute little lucky clover hat too! What's next Superintendent Lee?! A big fancy turf field?! I’m just so happy to see a team like Richland Springs back in the state semi finals! You love to see a team that does it the right way with all of their homegrown kids make it this far! Jerry B has led this team to success all these years, and this year won’t be any different!
Coyotes - 62
Strawn - 12
Last is a game that nobody wanted to see! My two arch nemesis, Coach Reid, and Coach Bagdon going head to head! Gordon has made it this far much to the surprise of nobody! That cupcake bracket that the UIL put together for the tinyhorns has really boosted the egos of DOWNBOX and all the other tinyhorns fans! Coach Reid and his lucky clover hat are just grinning ear to ear on playing the puppies this week instead of the cougars! Union Hills has made it this far due to luck and luck only! Aquilla’s injured kicker was the obvious reason that Union Hills was able to upset Aquilla this season! I mean according to the Aquilla fans, this kid was capable of making 50 point kicks! Incredible! Sorry Oldfolkshome, but this game was about to be a blowout till he missed those extra points! Congrats on all your luck Coach Bagdon! I honestly just hope this game ends up in a tie and the UIL decides to just hand over the trophy to Coach Adios and the Red Devils! Another easy win for the horns!
