Field Striping and Stencils

What do various schools do in terms of striping and stenciling their fields? Do most schools do that on their own? Pay to have it done? If schools are paying for it, what do you pay?

So most schools are doing that on their own, then? No one hires it out? And if there is anyone who uses a turf tank or similar, I’d sure love to talk more about that…

We have turf tank, and its nice. It's not $30K. Ours is $7K per year to lease it.
Whats the paint run on that? Are yall doing the full deal numbers 1 yard lines etc? We had looked at a similar company but you had to buy the machine all together and couldnt lease it. That 7k a year is a lot more reasonable.

we got Turf Tank this year - worth every penny. Comes with 20 2.5 gal jugs of white paint per year. When I paint full field with logo in the middle, numbers, sideline hashes, endzone words, coaches boxes etc, it's 4 jugs. Only do that for Homecoming & district games though. I only paint perimeter and yard lines for non-varsity game weeks on fast & that takes about 1.5 jugs. Took a bit to get figured out on paint usage, but I can go an entire season w/20 jugs if I do it right. A 2.5 gal jug is $70

Ok, that’s very helpful. Thank you. How user friendly is the software/set-up side of it?

Which model of the Turf Tank did yall get if you dont mind me asking. I see theres the 1,2, and Lite

We've got the Turf Tank 2 - I think it was $7500 for the first year, and they come out & set everything up & teach you how to use it. Then $7k a year after w/paint.

If you can use a tablet, the tech is user friendly
