Reminds me of puling you''re hair out one piece at a time,She love's Me,She Loves me Not!

That's too funny John,,edit on Friday july 11..lol

Just like a Packer,,,Never can make their mind up...

Two teams that need Favre: Vikings and Bears. Too bad this will never happen. If this were the NBA, David Stern would've already pulled the strings necessary to get it done. Think of the ratings...

If this were the NBA, the Packs would give Favre to the Vikings for a player to be named later and a 11th round draft pick.

No, in the NBA, Farve would end up with the Lakers or the Celtics for a bag of popcorn and ten nationally televised games to be named later (the Lakers got Gasol for a song; and the Celtics didn't give up much to get Garnett... Stern has the game tuned to just about a few notches away from pro wrestling...)

IMHO, it's already there.

Totally agree. I am very curious to see what the Josh Childress effect will have. I have heard David Stern is such a BIG Egotistical Jerk. My beloved Spurs have already been effected by the Josh Childress defection.

The whole situation stinks.

Farve kept going back and forth about retirement/playing. Any idiot could have read the tea leaves -- the guy likes to play and when July came around, he'd be the racehorse in the stall watching the other horses run.

McCarthy and Ted Thompson (GM) got obstinate about sticking with Rodgers. They're in a "must win" situation and now throw a ton of responsibility on the kid ... he'd better produce or they're going to look like fools. And they sold Farve for a bag of popcorn ... basically a fourth round choice that only turns into a first round choice if the Jets make the Super Bowl (maybe the AFC title).

They should have cut a deal with Farve (and Rodgers). Get Farve to commit to one more season, start him, give Rodgers a bump on the contract (more $$$) and he'd know he's starting in 2009. But you ended up with a pi$$ing match and all that happens then is both guys get wet and stink.

Yeah, the Bean Packers were in a no-win situation with this one. You really have to sympathize with the management this time. I really think Favre shjould have hung it up and stayed retired. He's getting pretty old for a football player. GOing out at the top of your game is a better way to leave, like Elway and a few others did. What I remember of Unitas is how badly he stunk by playing on a couple more years when he should have retired.

Hey Lifegate, What's your prediction for the season?

I have absolutely no idea. Defense should be great, and it will depend on how well Aaron Rodgers plays ... and stays healthy. We could be strong like last year or pull a Manila Folders role like the Chicago Bears (who still stink) did last year.

It looks like Aaron Rogers is doing pretty well for the Pack. Hopefully they can beat the Bears again and I can get amused by all the whining around here.....

So far, so good. Aaron seems to be doing pretty well, better than ... what's his name, I remember he threw an interception on his last pass last season, nice guy, scruffy beard, does some jeans commercials on TV, forgot who he's playing for this year ...

Okay. Now, I'd like to see the Eagles give the Cowboys a run tonight, ruff 'em up a bit ... 'cause next Sunday night, the game is at our house, at Lambeau. The 'Boys haven't been terribly successful at that place.

Lifetime, the Cowboys are 0-5 in Green Bay (yes, that's right, Sunday's game will be only the 6th trip of the Cowboys to Green Bay since 1960, including that chilly trip on New Year's Eve in 1967) ... they do have 2 wins in 5 appearances when the Packers used to play some games in Milwaukee (wins in 1980 and 1991). Lifetime, the Cowboys lead the series 15-12 (so Dallas is 13-4 with games at Texas Stadium and the Cotton Bowl; the Packers have won twice at Texas Stadium, in 1975 and 1989).

Still think Jerry Kramer was offsides.....

Too bad. If the ref don't blow the whistle, it's a legal play. Of course, I think that day, the refs couldn't use their whistles and just yelled that the play was dead.
