Again, a link ... only 16 drive in theaters remain in Texas (14 are shown on a map with the article, two aren't shown that show shall we say adult orientated films and weren't featured on the graphic).

Anyway, two are in Granbury (which does have two schools playing six-man football) and the major part of the article discusses one of those theaters.

If Granbury has 2, then they built another since I left in 1997. We sued to go to the Brazos at least once a month. The kids loved it.

Gotta love the Skyview here in Lamesa. $5 to watch new movies is hard to beat.

My mistake... one of those is in Graham. Just one in Granbury; we went there a couple years ago when we spent a weekend in Glen Rose.

The Brazos here in Granbury is a great place to bring the family. Only cost 20$ a carload and they don't show any R rated movies. Be sure to get there early because the they start lining up. Oh and you can bring in your own "refreshments" though we do buy the popcorn because it's made fresh not like at some of the megaplex theaters now day. It is for sale so if you got a extra 250 grand lying around you can pick it up.

There's a drive-in halfway between Quitaque and Turkey. It's called the Midway. Not open year-round but it does show first run movies during the summer.
