Dove Hunting

I know there's some hunters on this board. What's the dove report for your region? I've been out quite a bit the last few weeks, and it's hit or miss on my places north of DFW. Some days we may see only a few birds, and others, we'll slay em.

Last night was one of those slow days. Hunting between sunflowers and water, only saw 3 birds all afternoon.

BTW...if you haven't tried one of those Mojo Doves yet, you gotta get one. Turns those birds around everytime.

Shoot there so many up here near Kress there ain't no way you're going home with less than 10.

Hahaha...I'm taking a trip up to the Vernon/Quanah area to give it a shot at my old stomping grounds in a couple of weeks. I've heard it's good there too.

 

[Rule Again]

There is too much standing water up near Rule, Haskell, Knox City. If you do not have a good food source forget it. Then there is the big city folks who come in and shoot at every thing or starting grass fires scaring off the birds. I have shot 5 birds and been out 4 times. Hopefully it gets better.
