Division 2 Playoffs

They actually have it scheduled for December 5th on maxpreps. In that case, they will be late and will lose because they will have to forfeit. I mean, in all honesty LO can go ahead and put it on their calendar. The other side of the bracket is the one that's even slightly interesting. Summit or Veritas... roll the dice and pick one. My bet is on Veritas, unless Summit's spreadback has a great game. Veritas will benefit from the first round bye, kids will be fresh.

I am the AD for Veritas and I saw that 2 months ago and emailed max preps to see who manages that site, and they never responded. That site is not managed in any way by anyone in my office or any other department associated with our school. So I have no idea where they get their information but it was not from Veritas.

I repeatedly predicted and at times was arrogant when prematurely proclaiming the Live Oak Falcons 2015 State Champs. I was obviously wrong.

Hats off to Austin Veritas and the season they had. Although I was unable to make it to Bastrop in person, I watched the game online. At the end of the day Veritas had more playmakers, was better prepared, and was confident in themselves as a unit and as a team. Live Oak struggled the whole game, I felt like their youth showed which kept them from getting into their gameplan.

Congratulations to Austin Veritas on a State Championship well deserved.

Was an entertaining game and I was pleased to have made the trip. Austin Veritas had a great game, played consistent, and made no mistakes. Live Oak certainly made it harder for themselves with three turnovers. Coming in to the game I expected that both teams had enough talent and good coaching to score, but Veritas was solid throughout the entire game and deserved the win.

Congratulations to Austin Veritas for the State Championship and an undefeated season. Congratulations to Live Oak for another solid season and making it to the State final.

Here's an article on the game in this morning's Waco Tribune-Herald:

I know how you felt, we've all been there. For what it is worth, the boys thought your players were a total class act, during and after the game. Hats off to both teams for representing their schools well and showing off the class of Tapps football!

My boy said that Live Oak was the classiest program that they played all year. That's big praise for a game on the biggest stage. Sounds LO community is not just building good football players.
