Davenport Vs Manor New-Tech 11/15/24

My Alumni, Chapel Hill High School played a team called Davenport in the third round of the playoffs last November. So just becoming curious, I checked out their overall record and scoring highlights and came across a game where they played Manor New Tech, a blowout game with a final of 91-18, which is crazy to me because I always see high scoring games such as those in 6-Man Football, but nothing to the extremities of this game in the 4A division. Going into the game Manor New Tech was 4-6, so they just cut the playoffs, but still so crazy that they continued and continued to score on these guys.

I believe Manor New Tech is a charter school playing football. Davenport is a new high school in the Comal ISD (encircling New Braunfels). Comal ISD went from two high schools to five pretty darn fast. New Braunfels is adding a second high school in the next year or so, and Geronimo Navarro (where I live) is building a new high school to replace one about 20 years old. We have something like 5-10,000 housing units forecast for the district ,,, which, back in the late 80s had graduating classes of 11 (now pushing 200).,

Also, there are a number of UIL charter schools in the Austin area that got lumped into 4A a 4A district ... I think last year (2023), there was a district with Wimberly, Navarro, and maybe Cuero and three or four Austin area charter schools. Talk about lambs going to slaughter...
