D1 East - Region 3 - Playoffs!

I heard that Santa Anna had an injury today that might make it possible for Evant to make the playoffs. At least when this young man went out of todays game Santa Anna was no longer able to move the ball on Zephyr. They will have the week to regroup.

Wow zephyr must have made some great adjustments during the postponed time off.....that game was close at the time they postponed it.....and it looks like only 1 team came back to play today.....ouch

Santa Anna actually led 56-54 when the game was postponed.
This from the Brownwood Bulletin:
ZEPHYR 104, SANTA ANNA 56
ZEPHYR — When play was halted Friday night due to lightning at the 3:58 mark of the second period, Santa Anna led Zephyr, 56-54, in a battle for the District 11-A Division I championship.
When play resumed Saturday, Zephyr reeled off 50 unanswered points in just over a quarter as the Bulldogs earned at least a share of the 11-A title and the top playoff seed with a 104-56 victory that ended with 8:21 left in the fourth quarter.
Statistical information on the game was not available at press time.
Zephyr (7-2, 2-0) visits Lometa (1-8, 0-2)next week, while Santa Anna (6-3, 1-1) hosts Evant (7-2, 1-1) to determine the district’s second playoff team.

But........I suspect they will be loaded for Elk Friday night.

What is the condition of the Santa Anna running back...will he play this week??

I spoke with the kids uncle and his collar bone is broken. He is Out for the rest of this season. Prayers for this kid to make a full recovery....

This should open that district up a little bit, possibly Evant and Zephyr coming out unless Santa Anna figures out a different way to put up points....

Rochelle will cut thru Gordon like a hot knife thru butter after they tidy up things Saturday. Gordon was way over ranked for most of the year.
