Crowell

Has anyone seen them play this year? They are always very strong but noticed motley county put up 50 on them was wondering if they are state contenders as they usually are.

Except for a decent 4 year run recently, Crowell has never been considered a perennial state contender. At least not in 6-man.

Motley County losing to White Deer 50-0 was a shocker to me. Motley County was returning a team with just about all their starters and what I heard from a coach, was that they have a couple of good transfers as well. I don't know if the injury bug got them, but I wasn't surprised at all with their result of the Crowell game. They're a very gritty team, and I expect them to reach the second round of playoffs.

Unfortunately, I don't have too much on Crowell, but I know they graduated several key starters from last year's team. They'll still be a tough outing for anyone who plays them though.

Crowell is still definitely a strong team, maybe not quite what they have been the past 4 years but still a tough out. Skyler Hayes has taken over for his older brother Tristen at spreadback, they still have Evan De Los Santos at running back who's a good weapon.

A second-round matchup with Strawn would be a very interesting game, winner of that goes probably at least to the State Semis
