Crowell?

Lets see...Crowell needs to concentrate on reducing thier personnel fouls during game play...scoup is the win vs Valley wasn't a quality win..Valley had key injuries as well and thier Valley vs Happy score indicates that Valley wasn't as good as inticipated. They might struggle vs Paducah this week.

Crowell for years and years has had the talent to kick in the door, even if they beat Throckmorton next week, they would have to get through Water Valley and Throckmorton as second time.

I thought about driving and watching that game next week, but after all those personnel fouls against Valley and running up the score on Spur, I'll Pass.

In the preseason Valley was 100% (obviously) they have had huge injuries since then...if they were 100% they would still be ranked really high. Therefore your snide comment in regards to Valley is invalid. You asked where did Crowell come from as if you are surprised by how good they are...I pointed out they were rank #5 preseason which is pretty high...so they didn't come out of nowhere.

And get your facts right...Valley was ranked #3 by DC in the preseason (not #2)...if you're going to try to be smart at least get your facts right

Those boys from Crowell will light you up. They dont stop hitting until the whistle blows and thats where some of the personal fouls have came from. As far as yall making excuses for valley when they played Crowell. Crowell had a couple of starters out as well. Crowell had 6 juniors starting. So after 4 quarters of play looks like Crowell was just the better team. Crowell even had 4 or 5 Tds called back.

And the comment about Crowell running the score up on Spur apparently you were't there. The second string scored prolly half those points. What was crowell suppose to do just give the other team the ball every time.

Crowell is going to be one of the top teams for the next couple of years so dont be surprised in the future.

Your right....that dang whistle. Valley should have told the kid on the ground with the ball to rollover and move cause whistle hadn't blown , but instead got speared...or the kid 15 yards from the ball defenseless to go ahead and ear hole a kid standing around cause it will be done in return... Or tell valleys defense to charge the man kneeling the ball on the offense line, because the offensive player is going to fire out and hit a defenseless defender giving respect to the kneel... And could you tell me the time on the clock please that Crowells starting RB dislocated his elbow and the score of the game? Exactly... I'm not being rude. I'm just stating the current reputation of the conduct. This isn't new. Coach previously had the same issue with ejections. It's something you can choose to adress. Or something you can say is fine and its the other teams or officials who have the issue. I really don't care. But I enjoy watching two teams play hard. Leave the unsportsmanlike plays at home. That's just me. And Your right Crowell will be a force to face. But you want other schools as you knock them out to sit on your side of the stands the next week or the otherside. If you don't care as long as your winning and playing, then neither will I.

I haven't seen Crowell play but I was told they played dirty. Difference between playing hard and dirty. They try to get in a street fight with Throck on the field, they lose plain and simple. They are too good to be giving free yds to. Always hate to see good teams not play to their potential because they don't know how to act on the field. Teams like that never win in the end.

That was 3 years ago when these kids were freshmen and younger. The seniors now did not play in any of those games. Not the same kids, not the same team, not even the same coaching staff. If you truly enjoy watching a team play aggressive and hard hitting, than by all means please make the trip to Follett or Throck and watch the game for yourself. Do not take the "scoop" from someone else, and witness the game firsthand.

I should not be surprised by some of the comments made. There are some folks out there who just can not like Crowell for whatever reason they may have. When we win, well they play dirty....we lose, should not have lost b/c of talent they have. Win/lose some folks out there just can't stand it.

Watch a game for yourself and then have an opinion. These kids do play hard, every chance they get. Since when is playing hard nosed football wrong? They have made some mistakes...but so have the other teams. Crowell is not looking for a fight with any team they face, however, they look for a great game between two great teams.

Steve.....
Kramer and I went to the crowell / spur game.

I DO RECALL, THE CROWELL COACH CALLING TIME OUT WITH 7 SECONDS BEFORE HALFTIME AND UP 68-6.... SUBBING IN # 5 ( A STARTER ) LEX BOND and he got tackled on the 1 yard line as time expired and he dislocated his elbow on the play.....

NOW IF THAT AIN'T RUNNING UP THE SCORE.... WITH YOUR SUPER STAR RB COMING OFF THE BENCH... THEN U PEOPLE IN CROWELL NEED TO LAY OF THE HASH/HEROIN/CRACK/PCP/ or whatever moonshine you guys drinking over on the Quanaha Parker hill....

8 SECONDS ON THE CLOCK..... YOUR STUD RB GETS PUT IN.... AND YOU GO SPREAD AND HE RUNS IT......

In the END, I guess KARMA got you (the L Bond Injury)

Ahhhhh,
I see this topic has finally come public. I was wondering if it would ever come to the light.

My opinion, AS AN EX (RETIRED) Coach...

Crowell is very physical, very fast, very aggressive & VERY GOOD....
I believe they take on the mentallity of their two coaches (GOOD OR BAD)....
I've heard rumors about both coaches.... But yet schools districts still hire them
(What does that say to your student/athletes, Let alone, be a positive role model to those same student/athletes)

Me personally, being physical and smashing teams will lead to the opposing team to retaliate and opposing fans to get upset.
IS Crowell dirty... IN MY OPINION, THEY CAN & WILL GET BORDER LINE DIRTY (I see their coaches applauding it)

Will they win state ........... HECK NO ...... THOSE PERSONAL FOUL PENALTIES WILL CATCH UP TO THEM....
You can't give a team like Water Valley, Throckmorton, or Ira 85 yards in penalties.

THESE 3 TEAMS WON'T BACK DOWN FROM Crowell.....
These 3 teams have SMARTER coaches, smarter kids that are just as physical and they won't get THOSE DUMB DEAD BALL PERSONAL FOUL PENALTIES.

Now don't get me wrong, CROWELL is DANG GOOD...
BUT Penalties, specially dead ball 15 yarders vs. GOOD TEAMS will beat you every time.

I know Valley was pretty banged up but I didn't see the stat line on the game either. Were penalties a reason they couldn't put them away?

Sounds like Crowell likes to run up the score and play dirty. We will see if they can handle the two time state champ!

Vs Valley
Crowell had 9 dead ball personal foul penalties
#19 got ejected
#5 who did not play, was standing on the side lines, a valley player ran out of bounds on the crowell side and #5 litereally threw a punch and hit the valley kid in the helmet..... I SAW IT.....

Funny how you see crowell doing all this dirty play but you didnt see valley do any. Funny how that works.

A slap on the helmet, saying good job or punching a player with a helmet on? Why would a hurt player want to punch a player wearing a helmet? Makes no sense to me, get your facts straight.

Usually if one team is doing it so blatantly the other team is rarely seen doing anything (if they indeed are anyway) simply because the obvious one is attracting all the attention.
