Crowell ISD currently has an opening for Head Basketball Coach. Teaching field is High School Social Studies. We have very athletic group of girls and boys in high school and we also have an athletic group of girls and boys moving up from our junior high. Heard it was a pretty ugly situation the other night during the school board process to let the current coach go. Happened to make it to the regional tournament and Back to back regional tourneys, and this is now their 4th basketball coach in 4 years. Seems like coaches would not come in and out with that amount of talent. Must be some other forces playing a factor here. I have coached basketball/football for years, this seems like a graveyard for basketball coaches as of late. This is just word around the coaches fraternity. If interested, you may want to get all the facts as to why they are hiring a new coach AGAIN.
