This game was a lot like the 1992 state game between Ft Hancock and Panther Creek. Danny Medina had been on a roll and without a lot of pressure until that game. He just had everyone outmanned. When he ran into Clawson's defense and had to bear down and start coaching, it was too late. That ended the Fort's run.

Coach Clawson was such an amazing coach. That 5-1 defense is one of the greatest innovations to the 6man game. It seems so easy but it is actually very difficult to master. I honestly don’t think many coaches today are knowledgeable enough to run it. Also look at a few games leading up to that state title game and you will know how to put the perfect amount of pressure on a spreadback.
