Once again the Chester Yellow Jackets are drawing the short end on the weekly predictions, going in as a 28 point underdog. I've always been a sucker for the underdog, but when it relates to my Jackets, it gets really bad.
After a disappointing loss to a good Baytown team, the Jackets travel to Longview this Saturday along with our Junior High bunch and their season opener. Hopefully the Jackets' defense will come in with a chip on their shoulders and look for a little redemption from last week's inability to make the tackles in the backfield. If they clean that up, then I expect them to shut down the Titan offense as I understand they do not possess the speed that the Bulldogs did last week. That correction coupled with our offense's correction of holding on to the ball and making their catches, we should see a different Jacket team hit the field this weekend as compared to last weekend. That being said, I expect the game to be closer than 28 points, and again I am going with the Jackets to pull off the upset. I'll even go out on a limb and say by 12. It's all in fun anyway, right?
