Chester vs Lewisville Lakeland Baptist

Sixmanfootball spread - Chester favored over Lewisville Lakeland by 27

Expectations of the Yellow Jackets' first game/home opener??? This is different 'Jackets team than years past. Quicker offense, more powerful defense and the great option of more depth. Definitely have spots to work on early on, but overall looked quite compelling in last week's scrimmage. The guys are ready to play! Barring injuries...Jackets by 45.

When was the last time Chester 45ed an opponent?

I live for firsts.
BTW..did you even read the content of the paragraph or did you just read the number? The information before the spread prediction is the whole basis for the reasoning. I know what the past teams looked like and I also know the potential of the kids on the field this year and it's a whole different picture. And like I said, barring a bunch of injuries, you'll rate this team differently than you do right now. And if I'm wrong then so be it. That said..I'd appreciate you keeping your sarcasm to yourself.

I was just asking a question. If the answer is never....then so be it.

It is good to see someone supporting Chester on this board. I have never seen it before, so at least one Chester Mom feels confident about her team. Optimism this time of the year is always good, better than knowing that you are going get killed every week. I hope that y'all have a good season and I will try to keep my sarcasm away from your direction.

My apologies for taking it as sarcasm if it wasn't intended as so. We get bashed (sometimes really, really bashed) a lot on another website on which I typically don't post any longer. I was hoping it wouldn't be like that on this one. Don't get me wrong..I like to joke, kid and poke fun as much as anyone..without downgrading the kids of course. Maybe I was too quick to judge. I will re-read Luke 6:37.

Lots of parents are excited about this year and we expect to be, at the very least, very competitive. We are in unusual position in our district with only having to win one district game to be in a playoff spot. That's kind of crazy when you think about football playoffs, but with a playoff berth, our hopes are that it will entice the younger group to focus really hard on continuing to improve and be competitive. I'm terrible with dates but I think it was the mid-90's the last time the Yellow Jackets made the playoffs in football, which was 11 man then. So the goal is to end the drought this year, which should give the younger guys the hunger to continue.

Good luck to your team also, whichever one it may be. I will try not to be so sensitive next time :)

If indeed, them Chester fellers 45ed them babtists, I done say, good on them. That bunch iz nuthin' but a bunch of Pharisees and wuz in need of a good hindend whippin (not them kids, but their mommas and daddies and all them staff infections drawin' a check from LLB).

At this point it was a good win for us...something to build on. Now it's a new week, a new opponent and we are major underdogs. Time to see if the kids are ready to step up the pace and show everyone what they are capable of.
