CHEROKEE

Loraine got beat up by Benjamin last week, that's only thing I can think of because of score, from here on out, it's who can stay healthy and not get sick.

Cherokee played a good game with some good athletes, congrats to them. They were jumping around like the super bowl, after all it had been 21 years. They are a good team. Video was terrible with the one side only working.
Think ethridge was ejected taking out his frustration of the game. Needs to learn to compose himself.
No biggie it’s a single loss train keeps rolling. Good kids got some good play time tonight with the one starter out and a second breaking his collar bone. NO EXCUSES. They played the cards they had. I believe they will meet down the road.
No excuses? Did you read your second paragraph?

So the final score 78-47. That’s 31 point spread. Now let’s say RS doesn’t get the kick off return early and Cherokee does punch it in from the one on 4th down late in the game. That’s potentially a 14 point bump.
Ethridge was cussing players, fans, and flipping off the visitors sideline in the 1st quarter. Has nothing to do with the frustration of the game. I’m surprised he made it to the 4th before being ejected.
So his own coaches and administrators allowed it to go and allowed him to continue on after one incident??? Well that doesn’t boost well for the reputation of the team or school. Our kids would have been escorted to bus immediately after first incident. No room for that nonsense. Unreal.

It was an observation from the stream. I don’t know I wasn’t there. I was just stating what I thought and saw from it. Please share if you were there. I don’t think my original post was about making any excuses. They got beat plain and simple.

Braxton has always been a hothead. If they don’t shut it down when it starts, he’ll keep doing it.

Congrats to Cherokee, 21 years, Down goes the Roman empire!!!!!
Congratulations to the Injuns for their win. But you're jumping to conclusions and wishful thinking on your part. One loss does not mean the end of an "Empire". As you are probably aware, the halftime score was Injuns 30 and Yotes 24. Seconds into the 4th quarter, the Yotes scored for the last time making the score 54 to 47. After that, the Yotes self-imploded and lost 78 - 47. My point being you can't judge a teams' future performance based on 1 bad quarter. If the Yotes beats Rochelle next week and if they and the Injuns can get past Loraine in the playoffs, there may be a rematch in their quest for Jerry World. I'm not saying that the Yotes will win a possible rematch with the Injuns, but I believe the score will be a lot closer. Overall, I was very disappointed by the unsportsmanlike displayed by both teams. There were several personal fouls committed by both teams. The ones that specifically come to mind are 2 personal fouls committed by the Injuns -- a late tackle and an infraction in the endzone. And Braxton Ethrige was penalized late in the game for face-masking and consequenty and rightfully was ejected from the game. These type of behaviors reflect badly not only on the teams overall but especially on the coaches. And the penalties assesed to these infractions may make a difference, especially during the play-offs. And they are 100% avoidable.

Best of luck to all teams. Safety and health should be first and foremost and then academics. Regardless of your teams' record, let's keep in mind that it's only a game. 100 years from now (unless Christ returns before then), who's going to know or give a darn who won the 2022 State Championships ?

There is so much wisdom in the end of this post! We need to remember that at the end of the day, we are a family, every six-man team. Yes things get heated, that's the nature of football, but the 6-man community has always been tight-nit! Let's try to stop this petty arguing and root for these kids, they're having the time of their lives, and all of us older folks know it goes way too fast. Let them enjoy it!

The only team in sixman that talks about records and reads “The How many games at home without a loss and how many district games without a loss” is Richland. Your words don’t match your actions.
As for the unsportsmanlike penalties on the Indians the late hits were close (happens when backs dump the ball off at the last second, but one was a terrible call be on the sidline the “injun” pulled back and didn’t hit the mutt. it’s also the only two Unsportsmanlike penalties on the year for the Indians. Richland gets several a game. Try change the narrative that Cherokee is dirty. Nobody’s going to believe it. Especially, coming from Richland.

Anybody from RS want to address why the announcer refused to say Indians or Cherokee? Petty? The “Visitors form the east side of the county” would like to know.
