They obviously are using the strength of schedule played as a guide since all the top teams are currently undefeated in 1A. Also they might NOT give the top teams from last season a high rating to start off the season which can skew ratings as well.

Kind of my thoughts too. But what really caught my eye was the SI. Sports Illustrated, they're the national experts, the professionals. They don't generally like to be seen as "ridiculous". In this they do.
We know from past history they are aware of this site and its history of accuracy in its rankings. They're not professional enough to consult it and conclude, we might be off a bit? Before they publish this junk?
As a Hounds fan if they want to put Strawn at # 5 in DII I'll be the first to say they might not be that far off on that one.
