Cancellation question

With all of the games that have been cancelled this year I have a question. If a team cancels a game is that considered a loss? Then if the team has a bye week later and plays a game does that mean that at the end of the season they would have technically played 11games? Just wondering.

Cancelled games aren't counted as losses.
Unless it is a scheduled district game.
But even then, the UIL allows a team to schedule a game in place of a cancellation or forfeit. As long as they only actually play 10 games during the regular season.

It can get really weird and confusing as far as your win/loss record.
If a district game is forfeited and no other game is scheduled to replace it then the win is counted for your win/loss record for district and for overall.
If you schedule a game to replace it. The forfeit win is counted in your district w/l record, but the game you played is recorded in your overall record.
Your record at the end of the season should not include more than 10 games. I've seen it done, but it isn't correct. Teams like to take credit for both the forfeit W and the game they played W. (But if they lose the actual game, they will usually not count it, lol.)
Clear as mud?
