Can both state titles be won by Hill County teams?

i think abbott will definitely make it to state, but i think that the teams in that the big 3 in the east (valley, wv, throck) can beat abbott. then with milford, i think if they can beat richland springs in the quarterfinals, it would be hard picking against them to win state.

I think there are some good teams in the west that may have something to say about all of that. The problem with Division I in the west is they may beat each other up so bad making to the title game what will they have left in the tank when they get there. and Division II How strong is MC and Follette. Can a young Grandfalls team hold it together against Robert Lee and then possibly face a good district foe a second time to get there. Someone has to beat Richland Springs before they are not the favorite. They are in the hill country also.

No way on God's Green Planet (with increasing dusty-brown highlights) Abbot wins state. How sure am I? If The HoneySuckle Roses win state, I will delete my account here on Granger's site, and donate all of my rainjack t-shirts to the local soup kitchen to be used for cup towels, or to mop up bourbon induced expectorant on the chow hall floor.

Pete, BC, Valley, Throck, Ira, WV. All of them have but one team to scout. Abbott coaches have to cover every team remaining in the west. With the exception of maybe grady, the remaining 7 teams will straight up tell you what they're going to run and which side they're running it to.

I've said my piece. I shal now retreat to my crafts shed and prepare my tshirts for the worst.

Everytime BC posts something about the game Saturday, they say there will be no concession stand. You think some enterprising young lad will set up a frito pie stand out of the back of his pickup?

This would be impossible due to the fact that Milford is far from Hill County. Milford is Ellis County but it would be nice to have both trophies located on I-35

Ima go out on a limb here and suggest Doc Tinkle meant Hill Country in the thread title..

So you mean Richland Springs and Cherokee?

I stand corrected about Milford. I will rephrase my title. "Will Both Trophies Be Won By Schools Near Hillsboro?"

Hey Rainjack, looks like you just created more demand for them T-shirts. BTW, will they be available in Idalou Saturday?

Unfortunately, Mr. Davis - The Supe over at Valley - has banned me from any future BC - Valley athletic contests held in or around the Lubbock area. Evidently, I'm considered bad luck for the Patriots.

Hey, come on down. If this game is as close as I think it will be, something as slight as the bad mojo from The Rainman may make the difference. :-)

Yeah. About that. To ensure that I don't figure out a way to sneak into the game, the school board is sending me to Indianapolis for the rest of this week.
