Cleared to drive distance for the first time in a while so me and little britches headed to Groesbeck for the playoff game between two good boys' teams.
Mt. Calm has a good team loaded with lots of good basketball players who work hard and fight from start to finish. Was impressed with them. The score does not accurately describe the flow of the game. It was not ur characteristic blow out. Had I not had a scoreboard to watch I would have thought the game was much much closer.
Calvert is solid in every way. They are skilled, smart, quick and can control the glass on both ends. Not sure about their ranking, but to these eyes it appears they will be difficult to stop them without a good press and several big players to compete on the boards. Number 14 must have blocked six or eight shots and altered a dozen more in the first half alone. He plays much bigger than he is, which has to be 6' 4 or 5.
The Trojans are tough.
