Buckholts

I have received tons of inquiries on Buckholts and my resignation. Nothing negative happened here. On the contrary, the school board and administration has been very supportive; while I was here, and with my resignation. My wife received a phenomenal job opportunity in Palestine. She has been staying with relatives in Tyler, while I have both our kids down here. My daughter is medically fragile and I just wasn’t able to provide her with the same type of care my wife was. Both kids were going to Palestine next semester, so I have decided to move north to keep my family intact and to not become a weekend father. I love Buckholts very much and will miss being here. Anyone stepping into this position will have tons to work with and a program on the rise. Thank all of you who have inquired with concerns, or just intrigue. I pray for the kids in Buckholts and hope they have continued success.

I've never had the pleasure of meeting you coach but I have a lot of respect for you wanting to be with your family. I wish you and your all the best. Praying for you!!!!

Thank you both. I'm truly leaving with a heavy heart, as it's easier to leave when something negatve happens, rather than leaving when so much positive has happened. Buckholts has tons of upside and will only improve with the younger classes moving into high school. I've learned so much while being here and had the opportunity to teach/coach some very special young athletes. the goal of every departing coach is that they leave the place in a better place than they found it; I'm praying I did.

I left a bunch of shirts in the closet,
a chin-up bar in the locker room,
and a wobble board in the weight room.
Does that count?
