So I keep getting asked in PM's why someone hasn't been hired yet. Any explanation? Coach Satcher acted as though this was a great place to work, and we know there's tons coming back on the team; so what gives?

Buckholts is a great place to work. The only drawback is that we hire teachers that are coaches. We've had a few coaches come, apply, sign, and withdraw because they got jobs closer to where they wanted to be, and a little higher pay.

We really want a coach, need a coach, and these kids wanna go to playoffs again!

I encourage whomever wants to come to apply. We have a great program, great town, and can't wait for football season.

I'm honestly not sure why no more people have applied and taken the job!

Buckholts has tons going for it. Very surprised someone hasn't jumped all over this. Stop reading about the job and talking about it to people who have never worked there. Remember, most rumors are only half true. Apply and get down there and see for yourself.

I was very impressed with administration when I interviewed. Mr. Dykstra did everything he could to accommodate what I was asking for. In the long run my wife would have taken approximately a $18-$20,000, yes, thousand, salary cut and we just could not make that work. I was set to take the job he offered me but that is too much of a salary cut for our family to make that kind of move. Someone will be sitting pretty for Division II in that school district.

They need to rejuvenate some old blood. Get a coach in there that has some family in the immediate area.

Otherwise they are just passing through.....

Heard we got a new coach that used to be from the area. Who ever he is, hes coming in to a great situation. Met his assistant Coach France and seems to be excited about the future. Less than a week away and we'll know for sure what we have.
