A band of coyotes is another term for a group of coyotes. Borden County literally has a band of coyotes.
If you are attacked by a group of bears then I guess you could be mauled by a sloth or sleuth of bears.

Older Elk must have been an English Teacher and I should google before I post. I thought a sleuth was an investigator/detective and a sloth was three toed and sleeps a lot.

They don't really crow all that much and I can't blame them for defending success.
Of course, as with any teams fans there have been exceptions.
