Borden County/Water Valley

If I wasn't traveling to Paducah on Friday I would be at this game for sure!! This is a great plus for us that are unable to attend this GREAT game between BC / WV. Thank you for sharing your info on the radio station.

Also for those intrested in a scoreboard show we have one following the game on 97.5 KGKL that runs until midnight and covers Six Man thru 5A scores and coaches interviews!

I believe there was only one penalty against WV with 15 block in the back calls missed obviously the back up refs are still out there

15 is a mighty big number especially with five refs. not to mention block in the backs are the easiest calls to make

When in doubt, blame the refs ;)

what you mean is "when you get beat fair and square and your looking for someone to blame beside yourself for your own mistakes, blame the refs" am i right?

and if im not mistaken the refs missed alot more holding calls on bc too.. watervalley doesnt just give up 30-40 yard gains every other play without some help from a little jersey grabbing

i'm from BC and i just wanna thank WV for a very good game. it was a hard fought game on both sides. not proud of some of our actions, but WV, u were a very good host to us fans from BC. Classy organization, nice people, good football team. good luck to ya'll the rest of the way.

I agree, they should get rid of all officials, install about 400 cameras, and run it via computer. Then when you feel a call is missed, you can send dirty messages to the computer.
Or they should implement a tag rule that says the best official in the stands automatically has to become an official and put up with the garbage. I assure you, we would no longer have a shortage of officials.
I dearly miss officiating myself, but the old body just wont let me. But, it was a great 10 years.

I personally would like to apologize for allowing myself to get a 15 yard penalty, I am not proud of my actions but I am extremely proud of my kids. I truly believe that this was a very good game by both teams. I know that the folks from Water Valley have a lot to be excited about with a great group of young men and a classy coaching staff. I know that in a game of this magnitude emotions can run high and I let a big penalty that took a touchdown off the board get to me, but as is the case most of the time the official got it right. In fact, it was a misunderstanding that led to my frustration, but he was completely correct in his call which is no excuse on my part. The fact of the matter is that we got beat by the better team. Penalties are a part of the game, some times officials see them some times they don't. Penalties were not the difference in the outcome of this game it was Water Valley made the biggest play at the right time. I would also say as the defensive coach I needed to make some adjustments, but Water Valley is such a well coached football team they made the plays and adjustments and deserved to win this game. I would also like to apologize for how some of our fans conducted themselves toward the end of the game. This is not how we want people to see the Borden County program or family. I wish Water Valley the best down the road and would expect them to play for a long time this season. Take care and God bless you all. To the Coyote fans, thank you all for your support. We will circle the wagons and prepare for the upcoming week.
