If you pay attention to what I said, you would realize that I never put Abbott down. In fact, in round 1 last year several Abbott players were there to support Aquilla. I told them that if they made it farther than Aquilla this year that I would change the Mohawk from orange to gold.mj1522":2autf0fm said:

Nobody is offended that you guys praise Abbott....heck everybody has to support a loser one time or another. We did it for years. And as for Harley Johnson, yea he brought us football back and we are very grateful for that. Too bad our school ratings fell during his tenure though. But that's the democratic approach to education. Penelope held an exceptional rating for several years when Billy Sparks was here as superintendent. I didn't much understand it then but looking back he did our school right. I'd trade football for an education all day long and I'm sure Mr. Johnson and Mr. Sparks would both agree. Football is AWESOME!!!! But to be educated is more rewarding.
David I agree, education is far more important that football and should always come first. However; just to fill you in Harley Johnson was the superintendent at Abbott in the 90's and Abbott was ranked exemplary. This is the highest ranking a school can have. After he retired from Abbott their educational ranking dropped. Abbot is now again ranked exemplary; but it took them a couple of years to retain that ranking after he left. So now that we know your theory is based on politics and not fact, let's talk football.
Ok mj....fact is you guys got whooped!!!!!! Not politics....although your thought process and input let's everyone know your a yellow dog democrat. I wonder how many razors and bottles of alcohol it took you to get those Obama stickers off you and your old lady's cars? Speaking of that...sounds like them rabbits slid down a razor blade and landed in an alcohol river courtesy Austin hill country!!!
