That game definitely wasn’t representative of how Aquilla has played all season. I wish they could’ve shown up. I think missing all of the kicks really did a number on their morale. Oh well, there’s always next year. It’s not like any team actually stood a chance this year.

May fought hard all game from what I saw. Tough team! Gordon did sub heavily after going up 20 early on.
May was able to push them until 8:18 left in the 4th. That was because they started with the first play of the game burning clock. They were able to move the ball by 21 holding every play. May is a good team but if the holds had been called things would have been different. It got so bad that with 15 seconds left in the first half the guy from Gordon bodyslamed the guy from May. Just saying

Coach Reed has used 3 deep on the depth chart all season. (There's more than 2 studs) Starters play most of the 1st Q with light rotation. 2nd Q is a very heavy rotation. This night saw the same rotation pattern after halftime.
Makes sense. I would not want to risk what could be their futures for these “little” games. And he has to think about next year

Was called and the Gordon player was having his jersey half pulled off almost every play. I think that play was a spiked ball where May's end commenced to yank the Gordon player down by his jersey. Refs these days don't seem to call blatant holding or late hits out of bounds (or in end zone) or have the ability to correctly mark the ball. Not that it has mattered in the outcome of the games I've watched but I have seen some TERRIBLE officiating so far in the playoffs. Marking the ball in the right spot after a tackle is pretty much job #1.

I'm pretty sure it was called on the spike play. But not (and rightly so) on the onside kick where the May kid was trucked.

Yes it was called on the play down around the ten yard or so. I just didn’t word it right

The penalty was called for unnecessary roughness. Except the roughness was very necessary. Got the attention of the May player and the officials. That Gordon end was not held the rest of the game.
