To be fair, those are all current rankings. Those numbers don't reflect what those teams were ranked when Aquilla played them. That said, I did just check back through all the rankings and none of these teams were ranked in the top 10 when they played Aquilla.

That's probably the case here. Our mind plays tricks on us sometimes. The truth is, it doesn't matter what any of those teams were ranked when Aquilla played them. Could've all been top 10 or bottom 10. It doesn't change anything for the games coming up. The games still gotta be played! I'm just hoping they're all fun to watch!

Does anyone know if the Fort Hancock teams of this era had young several players 19 and 20 years old? Seriously, and I am not being sly or assuming. I am curious as I have heard it mentioned more than once over the years.

Does anyone remember Jack Pardee? He played 6 man at Christoval in the 50s, played fullback and linebacker for Texas A&M, where he was named All-American, then played fullback and linebacker for the LA Rams for 13 years and was all-pro, then 2 years for Washington, where he was also all-pro. Afterward, he coached at the University of Houston, the Chicago Bears, Washington, and the Houston Oilers, as well as a stint in the USFL.
If Aquilla even makes it there. Chester is looking pretty good. They also have 5 starters back on both sides of the ball. They have also won several games by the mercy rule, including Union Hill and Coolidge.

This Gordon team could be considered the G.O.A.T. of all time if they 45 everyone in the playoffs. Did Fort Hancock ever accomplish that feat?
I predict Chester to lose to Union Hill tomorrow, but hey that’s why we play the game

I have heard the same. I was there when the Fort went down.
Coolidge’s best player was out against chester. The same player who had to sit out until halftime agains oglesby and coolidge was down bad when he came in and brought them back to win. He did play in the game against aquilla however
Their best player by far is a sophomore. They aren’t losing much from the senior class all things considered. The other main running back (beside the aforementioned sophomore) is a senior. The qb is a sophomore due to the returning senior qb not getting to play until week 6 and having his spot taken. Qb is also the kicker and is quite accurate. Hit a 39 (i think) yarder the other week. More talent coming up as well, some good freshmen and the jr high team were district champs. State contender next year i think.

Doesnt Aquilla get a new football field next year?
Unfortunately only the academic portion of the bond got approved, not the separate athletic complex portion

I saw The Fort play in their glory days. This Gordon bunch would blow any of those teams off the field. Speed kills and its in multiples at Gordon and I have seen them be as physical as they are fast.
Looks like they barely rolled over Milford
