Aquilla Vs Gordon

Well I figured this might as well start being talked about .
Thoughts?
Considering the only time they play is the semis I would yes Gordon will be there but not to sure about Aquilla . May and Aquilla might be interesting. Not sure if that’s round 2 or 3. Granted everyone has to stay healthy. Way to early to determine who is playing Gordon in my opinion

Aquilla is region 3 and May is region 4. May would have to beat out Gordon to meet Aquilla in the playoffs.

Having any conversation about a team playing against Gordon is laughable. Nobody and I mean nobody will survive to play a 4th quarter with them this year. I think their JH and JV are fairly good as well so should continue to set the standard.

Kind of makes more sense now that their new football field is designed for both 11 man and 6 man.
I have several friends from that area and it has been openly discussed with community as mentioned above. Not sure as to why they would even consider this with such low numbers. They didn't field a JV team this year in six man because of the low number and some injuries that will always happen. My son plays JV here in Roby and they didn't have a JV team and apparently never did this year. Our varsity isn't good at all and beat them pretty bad. I believe they also use their 6th grade to help field teams at the junior high as well. Someone listed 80 for the number this year and I am sorry but 80 kids total and trying to play schools 3x the size makes no sense. Jumping up to 2A would be catastrophic for a program who doesn't really compete at the 1A level in any sport. Not to mention the death penalty for the girls program I am sure because the amount of talent in that area in 2A is really good. If I remember correctly, leading up to the move to sixman, Baird didn't win very many games. They used to be good decades ago when my husband was growing up playing
