NCAA Penalties and Rules
  1. Added Rules
  2. (2a) Offense will have 6 players
  3. (2b) Defense will have 4 players
  4. (2c) Offense may not have more than 3 players past the LOS on pass plays. ( -5 yards)
  5. (2D) the ball must be leaving the hand of the passer in less than 3 seconds ( no penalty, the result of play after 3 seconds does not count and loss of that down only)
  6. (2e) run plays, no offensive players may block or be past the LOS unless carrying the football or part of a option pitch. The ball must be across the LOS in 3 seconds. ( -5 yards)
  7. (2d) defense can not cross the LOS (-5 yards)
  8. Extra point try is 5 yards fir 1 point. And 10 yards for 2 points
  9. 3 downs to go 15 yards and 4 downs inside the last 15 yard goal line zone.


Field length

40 x 30 with two 15 yards zones and a 10 yard touchdown.



Game time: tournament/league/ team agreement. 2 x 20 min halves running clock. The last 2 minutes is run like normal NCAA rules on clock. Each team gets 1 timeout per half, does not carry over. 45 point mercy rule.



On Pass plays the Ball carrier is legally down when touched below the neck with one hand. A defender

cannot leave his feet to make a tag. Runner will still be able to run if defender's feet are off the ground.

On Run plays the defender must touch the ball carrier with two hands.

Fumbles (including snap) are dead balls at the spot with the last team in control
retaining possession at the spot.

Each team will have 25 seconds to put the ball into play

The clock does not stop and any delay by the offense in retrieving and returning the ball to the official will result in a delay of game and a loss of down.

Defensive pass interference with be a 15 yard penalty and automatic first down. If defensive pass interference is committed within the 15-yards of the goal line , the ball will advance to the 5-yard line with an automatic 1st down.

Defensive holding will result in an automatic 1st down and be a 10 yard penalty.

Offensive pass interference will result in a return to the previous spot plus a loss of that down

Pick 6’s are allowed

If a pick 6 doesn’t score the team that intercepts the ball with retain possession and start their drive at the 30 yard line.

If a pick 6 happens on extra point the play is dead.



Scoring

Offensive TD =6 pts

5 yard extra point =1 point

10 yard extra point = 2 points

Interception without scoring a TD = 3 points

Interception return for TD = 6 points

Defense stop on downs = 3 points
