I was excited to read this article about a 6-man player making the NFL! I was intending to hang it in our locker room as an insperation for our players -- then I read about how Mr Hanna had transfered to a 5A crowded-field school "to get noticed"--Well, that story ain't going to get posted on the locker room wall anymore.
We are struggling with numbers, as are many 6-man schools. We already have one sophmore making noise about transfering to the school 50 miles away, "So that he can play on a 'championship' basketball team, 'get noticed', and get a college scholarship". I don't know if this kid will ever be good enough to play on a college basketball team, but I do know that if we loose him and one more player we will not have enough players to make up a 6-man football team.
