Week 2 Player of the Week:
Keelon Caffey – Union Hill – 18-256 yards, five touchdowns; 2-3-0 for 26 yards, one touchdown passing; 2-14 yards, two touchdowns receiving; 12 tackles
Caffey was a force to be reckoned with last week as he averaged over 14 yards a carry, scored a total of seven touchdowns and threw for another and recorded 12 tackles on defense leading highly ranked public school Union Hill past highly ranked private school Dallas Lutheran 90-41.

HONORABLE MENTION
Garrett Knight – Bronte – 20-262 yards, seven touchdowns rushing; 1-2-0 for 18 yards, onw touchdown passing; 13 tackles
Knight had a great night as he scored seven touchdowns on the ground and added a passing touchdown for good measure as Bronte defeated Loraine 60-27 in the Longhorns first ever home game playing six-man football.
Myles McCord – Seguin Lifegate – 20-339 yards, four touchdowns rushing; 11-15 for 112 yards, two touchdowns passing
McCord totaled 451 yards of total offense and accounted for six touchdowns as Seguin Lifegate beat Houston Texas Christian 78-31.
Logan Wheeler – Blanket – 11-237 yards, five touchdowns rushing
Wheeler is averaging over 200 yards a game rushing in this young season as he added 237 yards and five touchdowns to his totals on just 11 carries in Blankets victory over Lometa this week 45-20.
Nathaniel Shipman – Blackwell – three fumble recoveries, four tackles
In a game decided by three points, Shipman’s three fumble recoveries proved vital to Blackwell’s 27-24 win over rival Highland at Highland HS.
Amando Alegria – Garden City – 5-120 yards, three touchdowns rushing; 2-4-0 for 73 yards, one touchdown passing; one interception
Efficiency describes Amando’s offensive performance against Morton as he had just nine offensive touches and four of them resulted in touchdowns, and he added an interception on defense for good measure.
