With both the TAPPS and UIL realignments now complete everyone should be trying to finalize their schedules. What are team's non-district opponents and classic schedules for next year?

Jayton will have it's 12th Annual Gridiron Classic next year. I am still in the process of finalizing match ups and dates, but we have 14 outstanding teams committed for 2014 and 2015.

Abilene Christian
Borden County
Crowell
Follett
Highland
Ira
Jayton
Knox City
Motley County
Nazareth
Paducah
Petersburg
Ropes
Valley

I think Stanaland at Jayton should take VOTES on match-ups....
YOU KNOW... LET THE FANS VOTE ON WHO THEY WANT TO SEE PLAY EACHOTHER....

I'll start

Ira-Valley : 2 great coaches going at it. If my knowledge is correct, these two coaches have never played...

Jayton-Nazareth : Sibling Rivalry

Ropes-Abilene Christian : Talk about 2 pass happy teams.. AIR-RADE

Petersburg-Highland : The BURG vs LAND

Borden County-Knox City : Hounds and Coyotes go at it... Maybe a KC halftime wrestling match

Motley Co.-Crowell : Should be a good high scoring game... 2 premire teams from each division

Paducah-Follett : talk about a track meet

That's a great idea kramer...

here's my suggestions

Ira-Valley - What a matchup with 2 of the best teams in sixman football.

Borden County-Crowell - These 2 teams played a classic here a couple years ago. (RE-MATCH)

Abilene Christian-Petersburg - This will be a pass happy type game

Paducah-Jayton - I do love the sibling rivalry game, but i'd love to see the birds and dragons scrap it on.

Follett-Ropes - Just sounds right

Nazareth-Highland - This would be a tremendous ground and pound type of game.

AND THE MAIN EVENT

Motley County-Knox City - I would much like to see Bigham vs Steele wrestle after the game
That may bring in LOTS of money in itself

While you guys are looking at what might be the best pairings for Jayton, just remember that all of these teams have their own non-district schedules. No one will be willing to play someone twice in their non-district schedule.

Emery will be hosting a two day kickoff classic this year. It will be a total of 4 games.

Friday, August 29th
5:00 pm – Alvin Living Stones (Visitor) vs. Lake Jackson Brazosport Christian(Home)
7:30 pm – Boerne Geneva School (Visitor) vs. Logos Prep (Home)

Saturday, August 30th
5:00 pm – Conroe Covenant Christian (Visitor) vs. Pasadena First Baptist (Home)
7:30 pm – High Island (Visitor) vs. Emery (Home)

I think this is a pretty solid match-up of games. Living Stones vs. Brazosport Christian is a bit of a rivalry. They both did well last year as playoff teams. With explosive offenses this could be a high scoring affair. Really interested in seeing Geneva vs. Logos Prep. That will be a rematch of the last year's Division I state semi-final game. Conroe Covenant Christian vs. Pasadena First Baptist should be equally matched. The last game Emery will play High Island. That should be a good early season game for both teams looking to perform well in new next districts in 2014. Overall, glad to have the opportunity to host all these teams at our new artificial turf field. Looking forward to expanding the event in the future.
