The Heart of Texas Coaching Clinic was a great success. Thank you to the coaches who shared their knowledge and helping this great game get better. Special thanks to the Gordon Booster Club and the 80 coaches that attended. I found it amazing that Coach Vance Jones, Coach Larry Uland whom have been coaching for 42 years at the clinic sharing their information and still taking notes. Thanks again and we are going to try and raise the bar for next year.

I thought the same thing when I saw Coach Jones there...It is great that with such success and experience that he has that he still enjoys talking about the game and visiting with all the coaches. To me it shows his true love for the game and the great people that make it up.

Even though I don't coach Sixman, I love the clinic and all the guys there are a special group. Remember, our district would love to have you up sometime. Just let me know and I will try to help you out any way possible.

Also Rock Bottom Reach would love to visit your school. Look us up on the Internet!

This was my first year going and have tried in years past, but it was awesome. Listenuing to the speakers and seeing all the coaches was amazing. Loved every aspect, except maybe the Donny Moore story but it was powerful.

Coach Burkhart what a great clinic. Our whole coaching staff enjoyed it and all got some very good info. The speakers were great all of them. They all had something to say other than X and O's. They put God first how great was that !! My staff will be returning next year for sure. Thank you Coach Burkhart and the town of Gordon for putting on a 1st class clinic.

I had a great time Coach. Thanks for letting me be a part of it. I did find it amusing that you felt like I was doing YOU a favor by filming...... I had the best seat in the place, front row, right in the middle, lol. One of my favorite lines was Coach Martin from Stephenville Faith when he said that you can make your corners meaner by calling them linebackers. I would like to thank everyone for being on their best behavior, I don't think we disturbed the roofers one little bit.

Same here Broadcaster. Just so happens I work at the gas plant in Springtown, so I love the fact that you have six-man games at your amazing facilities. It has allowed me to see a six-man game on a few occasions that I got called out and had to miss the Longhorns game. And a couple of Porcupine games as well. I guess since the plant is my second home, the Porcupines would be my second team, lol.

Dogface, This guy right here did. It was pretty dang good.

We were thinking of paying Mary a visit, but Jerry and the folks in Gordon stuffed us so full of sausage and crawfish (they was gooooooood) that our stomachs were full until we hit Lampassas on the way home. Maybe next year.

Oh, and the Longhorn Inn in Gordon was a very nice, reasonable place to stay. I'd make my reservations early next year.
