WHOS THE TEAM TO BEAT????

Prestonwood is definitely looking like the North.. South is wide open. Freddy and Hill Country looks like a telling game this week and Bryan St Joseph is putting up solid wins.

Heck of a game in San Marcos. Hill Country wins 72-66. Nobody ever had more than a touchdown lead throughout the game back and forth.
Heritage scored with about 2:30 left to go up 66-64. Hill Country took the ball down the field and scored with :14 left for the win. Really, the only defensive "stop" was HC stopping Heritage around the HC 15 on the last play of the game. Freddy scored too quickly on their TD drive and left too much time on the clock. HC used the clock wisely to limit Freddy's option.

It was one of those games that proves a rule taught by the Marquette Univ. basketball coach (and NBC analyst), the late Al McGuire. At some point in the game, your opponent is no longer the other team but the clock. And your job is to get that clock to 0:00 as quickly as you can.

Freddy was also down one of their main players. Think it would’ve been a little different if he were playing. And gotta give Freddy a little credit with forcing a fumble and recovering it right after a turnover and next play scoring a TD

That being said. Hill country played a good game. They will be a force too be reckoned with come playoffs. Their spread back is insanely fast and if you can’t contain him you will have issues.

Not too sure how brackets are gonna look but if these two have a chance too make it too the semis and play each other again that will be game of the year.

All true.. and hill country was missing one of its seniors who is the brother of the spread back. It’s gonna be interesting if a rematch happens

I never will count Heritage and Coach Shipman out until the end -- and I think if the had another 20 seconds of game time, they might have won the game. Injuries are a sad fact of life in football. My rule is that if you can put six guys out on the field, you play. May not be the six you want to play, but that's how the game is played.
