What the heck is a Union Hill?

A civil (?) war hideaway for yankee's ? Not much of a hill that I can find. That's the point.
I hope the Gilmer Buckeye's get their asses kicked next weekend by Celina. Because the Gilmer Mirror refuses to acknowledge sixman football.
Union Hill is about 10 miles outside the county seat. They are not a town. They are a rural school.
Not even mentioning them on a run to a UIl sanctioned football state semi final is real great for a small town paper trying to survive in a digital age. Can they spell stupidity?
A box score? 2 or 3 lines?

Sorry to rant, Butt! I've looked for weeks for anything about the Bulldog's. Gilmer, Pittsburg, Longview online newspapers.
Sneakin in, under the radar does not describe them.
A testimony in a sense. These kids play for the love of the game. No recognition other than family, friends and a very few fans. A Team without a town.
(Almost) Nobody gives you a chance.
Go Bulldogs.

Yep. I read it on the newspaper thread at lunch where older elk had posted it this morning.
