My own story like the Trinidad-Fruitvale power outage...

Back about 20 years ago (I am guessing around 1995), I was in Zephyr. I want to say it was the last week of the season against Gustine. TBH, I cannot remember that part, so if anyone remembers this, please post which game it was.

During the first quarter, the scoreboard power goes out. Mr. Whisenhunt somehow knows that it has to do with the old fuse box and we stand there for the remainder of the quarter, as he holds a penny with the old fuse in place so the scoreboard works. Whenever there's a stoppage of play, he lets go and the scoreboard goes blank. Then he holds it back in for the next play so the clock can run. During this time, the electrician shows up and is ready to fix everything. The quarter mercifully ends and the electrician gets to work. A few minutes later he's done and the second quarter begins....

Life in the six-man world. When something breaks, there's usually someone close by who knows what to do. You fix it and move on.
