Week 1 Shootout 2018-2019 - at Garden City

If anyone is interested, we will be hosting a shootout these next two years at Garden City. We are looking into many different things we can do for the teams (free meal will definitely happen). We want to host two game on Thursday (5:00pm and 8:00pm starts), two on Friday (5:00pm and 8:00pm starts), and four on Saturday (10:00am, 1:00pm, 5:00pm, and 8:00pm). We want to give everyone ample time to warm-up on the game field, and we don't want to play any games in the heat of the day (which means we may even look into playing 9:00am and 12:00pm on Saturday morning). We will also have all teams sign two-year agreements, so we don't have to scramble from year to year looking for teams.

So far, we have 7 teams who have committed and five others who are possibles. We are still looking for teams, but I understand the need to wait for realignment. Let me know if you are interested. After realignment, I will check schedules, look at possible playoff scenarios, etc. before setting match-ups. We want good, competitive games that coaches, players, and fans will enjoy. There are also going to be incentives for coming (complimentary meal and possible travel money for school).
