Water Valley vs. Knox City

WV Backer

Six-man pro
Both teams are coming off tough losses at Jayton and Hico with Knox City losing to Borden County and the WV taking it on the chin from Blum. Who will bounce back the best? The toy has WV over KC by 17 but, as the guru himself says, this early in the year it's "estimations based on last years data and whatever information I may have before the season. They are nothing more than a starting point and conversation piece." So what do you think Wildcat fans? Does the WV get back to it's winning ways in Knox City or do the Greyhounds contribute to continuing the skid?

Tough loss last night for the WV but all is not lost. It's early in the season and still plenty of time to right the ship. I do wonder, however, if anyone from the WV is out there? If so, let's hear it.

I'm still having a hard time with this loss. Either Blum isn't all that or WV is slacking because I know for a fact Knox city isn't even a top 15 team.

When the Glass kid gets healthy WV's level of play will go up...some. Even then it might not be enough to start winning against tough opponants. They played hard against Blum and came up short. They may have been down some from the week 1 loss. The kind of injuries that WV has had will tend to mess with a ranking system that cannot take injuries into account. We tend to try to read too much into who beats who early in the season. What really matters is how healthy you are going into the playoffs and how good of a team you have at that point.

Well, I don't know about KC not being a top 15 team but, I'll admit, I was expecting a victory. Perhaps I've just been spoiled these last four years with the WV going undefeated in the regular season. As far as injuries go, yes they have some kids out but so does everyone else so we can't use that as an excuse. Like you guys said, it's how you're playing come playoff time that really counts so here's hoping they start to gel here pretty quick.
