Valley - Dallas Covenant

When was the last time two number ones met on the playing field? I certainly can't remember it, but then again I am old and my memory isn't what it once was.

This has the makings of one a great one. Dallas don't quit and Valley won't stop.

Last week I said that Valley would get the win over Crowell in a hard fought, physical game, and Valley put 89 points on the board.

I think that this week's game should be a high-scoring TD-fest, with extra points, special teams and turnovers being major factors.

We'll see.

In 2006 ACHS went to Richland Springs in WEEK ZERO as part of the Coyotes Kick Off Classic. They were each ranked #1. RS prevailed in that one 70-24. Granger was there as well.

Looks like about an 80 percent chance of rain in Dallas on Saturday - might effect the point scoring perhaps

Hope its.over by kickoff. I don't want to travel 360 miles to sit in the rain.

i think in 2009, BC was #1 in D2 and richland springs was #1 in D1 and they played in trent. BC won by a touchdown on the way to winning the state game over highland

I don't think Richland Springs was #1 in D1 but they were highly ranked. I remember the game it was played at Trent and Border won 76-62. I believe Strawn started the season at #1 but I believe they lost to Valley.
