Town East came out tonight with all their players healthy and eligible, and boy what a difference that makes. After suffering through their first loss of the season last week against Winston, I was wondering how they would respond to an athletic New Life team hungry for their first win of the season.
Town East got on the scoreboard early in the first quarter, and led 8-0 after one. Town East scored again early in the second quarter to go up 16-0, but New Life has alot of pride and good athletes and was able to put it in the endzone with a few ticks left in the half to go into halftime trailing only 16-7. Town East was able to control New Life's offense in the second half and was able to score three more td's in the second half to secure a 34-7 win on their homecoming night. Town East is now looking for a game to play this coming weekend, if anyone knows of anybody that has a bye this weekend please give me a call and I will call them and try to fill this opening.
