Town East came into the game having never lost to Winston. They came in with only eight healthy players compared to Winstons twenty-five or so and had to finish the game with only six healthy guys. They came out though with a fire to continue their dominance over Winston but quickly learned that this was not the same Winston squad they had dominated in years past. Town East moved the ball deep into Winston territory on their first three possessions but each one ending in turnovers which eventually led to Winston touchdowns. The half time score was 32-6 with Town East losing. Town East came out in the second half and came back as close as 38-20 but could never get any closer. The Winston talent and depth was too much on this night and they eventually lost 59-26. It was a great win for coach Hambrick and the Winston Eagles.
On a positive note Town East may have found another qb, with Brent Davis filling in for Aaron Lawson and tossing four td's and moving the offense well. and Joshua Katka coming in and catching two td's for his first start as wr. I am very proud of my guys never giving up and most of them playing every down of every possession.
