I think the main take away from state today was Gordon winning in convincing fashion. Hats off to Gordon! Their 3rd title as a school and coach Reed's 3rd title... Party like it's 1999

My take away from today is that this was not a good look for the 6-man community.
Sure over 50% of games end by mercy rule year in year out. But to see both
State Championship games end like this? Makes me kind of sad.

#10 is the Texas Player of the Year. These kids on Timpson is exactly why I say we need to separate 6 from 11 when voting for player of the year. Take a couple of those kids and they could win state in 6 on almost any team you out then on.
I didn't watch the games. But I did listen to them. Shout out to the 1AFan guys, great job. Congratulations to all 4 teams on making it and the Champs on winning it all.
A special congrat's to Oglesby on their first time ever making the dance, and for hanging on. That 2 minutes before half time was a game changer for sure. Going from I think it was 1st and goal from the 3 to close to down 1 TD at the half potentially to what happened had to be demoralizing. The fumble, the lost onside kick. And yes, the otherwise unbiased announcers commented on things getting chippy, a no call on a late out of bounds hit, another non call if I remember correctly. Kudos to Benjamin on taking advantage of the opportunities.
