We'd like to thank all the teams and fans who joined us in Hico for the 8th annual Hico Six-Man Super Saturday.
Wish the weather had been a little more agreeable, but from what we heard, everyone seemed to have a great time, despite the heat. We tried to make it as comfortable as possible with the addition of the eight giant misters, we installed Friday night. (Kudos to the fans who came early and set up the tents in the stands.) It looked like the best place to sit was under the Oak tree in the endzone, where people seemed to enjoy watching the game on the big screen TV in the opposite endzone.
We'd also like to thank Walt Garrison who joined us for the seventh straight time, Burton Lawless and the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, Cassie and Ashton. We'd also like to thank all of our sponsors. Without their generosity, it would be impossible to put on an event like this. Thanks also goes to the pink t-shirt wearing volunteers who gave up much of their weekend to help out.
We're always asked about next year. Right now, the answer is YES there will be the ninth annual Super Saturday. In 2012, the lineups with change, so keep on eye on the website http://www.hicosupersix.com or the Facebook page Hico Six-Man Super Saturday or Twit us @hicosupersix. We will be updating the Facebook page throughout the year, adding photos, and playoff information if/when a game is scheduled.
