I wanted to inform you guys who have been following my progress up in Maryland that we finished up a spring "demonstration" season of six-man football last Wednesday, I had 2 teams practicing and scrimmaging against each other, Faith Christian School and Central Maryland Christian, a local home school program. I have been working on this since February 2010 and it was very gratifying to see it come to fruition. The game was incredibly well received and there is considerable interest from other schools in starting programs. We have agreed to keep the season in the spring next year to allow the numbers of six-man only teams to be augmented by teams made up of the younger/less experienced players from the 11 man home school programs. The local media has become very interested in the story and there are 2 papers and a website interested in doing stories about six-man football. I want to thank all of you coaches, players, and fans who took time out of your busy lives to send me emails. playbooks, and game films, I can assure you that they were all put to good use. If you are interested in keeping track of the league I'll continue to post news on this site in the Non-Texas Six-Man football news board and you can also follow my league at the new league website leaguelineup.com/midatlanticsixman and I will of course post a link to this site on my league's website, so visitors to my site can see what six-man football in the Mid-Atlantic could someday become. I'm still very interested in any and all information/film/playbooks/etc. that any of you can provide. As I will be graduating on Friday my school email address, the one I had previously been giving as my contact email on this site, is no longer the best way to reach me. Rather, if you want to contact me about anything, please use my new six-man specific email, [email protected]. Thanks again for everything, this wouldn't have been possible without your help.
