Sorry, the point I was trying to make, is would my uncle have done as well as he did without the best coaches, no, I don't think so. He was a left tackle and they usually don't get much glory. After Joe Kerbil left Breckenridge, they never had such great teams as they did when he was there. He went on to coach at Canyon and produced players like Dwayne Thomas and Mercury Morris. Was he an easy coach, NO, very tough, but a good coach, YES. My grandson had an excellent coach this year and he was one of the main reasons his team did so well. And who can deny that Bear Bryant was an excellent coach? So, does poor coaching bother me, YES.
