I had no son in the game. My grandson got to play. He was a starter on defense. I am not talking about him not getting to play, he played quite a bit. I am talking about the ones who didn't get to play but one or two plays. This is not about him. This should have been a game for the boys, all the boys, they were ALL all stars, after all. I don't think there were any bad players, so why were the same ones, ones who were not able to do the job in the entire game. I am not saying that they were not good, maybe just having a bad day, but the other boys should have been sent in. You know, maybe they would have done even worse, but how much worse could it have been? IT was not even fair to the ones who played the whole game, it didn't make them look good. If the other boys had been allowed to play and they had been worse, it would have made the starters look better, too. Think about it. Most coaches would have changed their strategy if they saw what they were doing wasn't working instead of running the same plays over and over and with all the same players.
