Well anyone who overlooked Milford messed up... but everyone who wanted to see Petey and Charles vs Amherst were hoping for it. I think the Guru might have?

You mean see the match up for the second time? They had met in a scrimmage earlier that year.

Scrimmage is scrimmage.. in 94, my senior year, we scrimmaged Mullin. Petey and Charlie hit like trucks as Juniors. Mike Reed can attest to that... because it took him about 5 weeks to get back right after some of the pops he took and we were playing the FIRST Colorado game in 94. Reed showed up for that one and we won

Excellent article, thanks for posting it. I never really though about it from your handle but you played for Coach Campbell. My brother in law played for him in Strawn in 78. From what I've heard the Hound's screwed up not offering enough money to keep him there. But I wonder if he didn't just want to return to his home town. As an outsider who married into sixman I loved it from first sight, but I don't really know what went on back in the day.
