Pine drive is still #1...should they be?

Yes...they look like the team to beat. They have the leg up in coaching too. Coach Ware always puts out a winner.

I think it should be Pine Drive also...i just wanted everybody's opinion on the new rankings!

Rankings don't really mean anything...they are just for fun..and they aren't accurate right now ..im not saying PD isnt good or shouldn't be number one but the only thing that matters is who wins the championship game...I think two yrs ago duncanville beat the number 1 or number 2 ranked team went on to win the championship and was still ranked number 3.

Haven't seen the northern teams, but if I were ranking teams, I would put Freddy #1. Pine Drive would be my #2 pick. These two teams play great defense.

I'm pretty sure Freddy will come out on top this year --- but it should be somewhat close with PD --

Will they face each other in the championship game if they both win their districts and advance against other teams?

Me, myself would put Freddy #1 because of the following:

1. Coaching, Coach Shipman has 4 state title rings (this decade).
2. His team this year IS BATTLE tested and they are good. Not saying Pine Drive isn't but until you win a STATE TITLE, it's kinda hard to actually BOAST HOW GOOD U REALLY ARE.....

I know coach ware,
AND I DO KNOW he will have Pine Drive pumped up and ready to play living stones and roll from there....
BUT FREDDY IS A DIFFERENT ANIMAL...

I put it this way:
FREDDY 45's Logos Prep
PD struggled w/ Logos Prep
THAT'S THE DIFFERANCE....... FREDDY FINISHES TEAMS, WHILE PD IS STILL LEARNING HOW TO FINISH OFF DECENT OPPONENTS.....



I love Coach Ware, specially when he coached me in Lubbock, BUT he ain't no TIM SHIPMAN and he knows that...And he knows how many rings OLE TIM HAS....

It would be a great game if these two teams met up, but we are leaving out a few teams such as:

Denton Calvary
Brownwood Victory Life
Heath Fulton
SA Town East
Seguin Lifegate
Boerne Geneva

If you would've seen the game vs. Logos Prep, THEIR QB IS NOT THAT GOOD, PLAYED LIKE A 1st year freshman playing in his 1st ever game........ AND I'm not being mean or harsh,
BUT THE QUESTION I SAID WAS:

Please read carefully, ONCE AGAIN, I'm not bashing the young man from Pine Drive -BUT-
You can't win a state title with a QB that fumbles snaps, misses blocks, bad tosses to spread back.... I counted more than 11 combined by this young man: I believe I also counted 5 fumbles or times where football hit the ground....

I'm 100% sure Freddy has a steady good qb running the show:

Here is my top 7 teams

7. Pine Drive ... QB PROBLEMS which is bad and NO TEAM CAN OVER COME BAD QB PLAY COME PLAYOFF TIME, but they do play solid defense.

6. Seguin Lifegate ... Very talented but not enough depth

5. Heath Fulton ... Their transfers are making noise up north and from what I've read on here, THEY ARE LEGIT... (MY SLEEPER TEAM)

4. Boerne Geneva .... A good team with an outstanding coach. Can they get PHYSICAL.

3. SA Town East ... hear they have a solid freshman leading them, and heard he's GOOD.

2. Alvin Living Stones .. Great Spread back play from their qb/sb and a very good offense. Defense is suspect.
Come playoff time, You always want the ball in your STUDS HANDS and LSCS has that STUD in their QB/Spread Back....

1. Fredericksburg Heritage ... I'm sure no one with any common sense will complain.. THIS TEAM IS GOOD... They will be the team hoisting the TAPPS Div. II Trophy

Sixmanjr you seem to diss any props given to pd, I'd say this years rankings are pretty accurate accept I agree with wonder dog Freddy is number one by a long shot and pd is a solid 2. Three An four is a toss up between Geneva and seguin and lscs is right where they need to be at five. Lscs is good. Very good. But what separates lscs from Freddy pd and seguin and geneva is coaching. Lscs makes little to no adjustments game time. Take away there beastly rb and your looking at a one dimensional spread team,( good teams will stop those up the middle runs) With a very good spreadback but he has not been tested against a great d, he airs it out to wide open receivers so it's hard to say if the receivers can make big plays when guarded. This will change when they play pd and anyone in the playoffs. Also there defensive doesn't seem up to par against fast teams.nottrying to be mean but the defensive scheme seems for lack of a better word dumb But I believe theyll come around.. My pick for state:Freddy!. My sleeper pick:lscs. Teams watchout for them. And I've seen pd play. I think it was just a bad game from the qb he seemed solid in the game I saw . Take away his mistakes maybe were looking at a different score guess we will never know.

6manJr is correct (almost correct)...

A couple years ago, Dallas Tyler Street was storming through everyone.. I MEAN 45ing EVERYONE... and they beat Duncanville Christway during district PRETTY HANDILY...

Then come state playoff time, Ole Duncanville Christway beat the ALL MIGHT #1 Dallas Tyler Street Crusaders...
Duncanville went onto win the state title that year....

Yes I remember that year. I think everyone went scratching their head wondering what happened. I was just trying to make a point that pd has earned there props he seems to have something negative to say about them. But yes come playoff time anything can happen

yes its possible, depends on where they are placed in the brackets. Lets just not assume either or both will get the # 1 seed in their prospective districts. There is alot of ball to be played still.

Brenham was District 4 champs
Seguin Lifegate was District 3 champs
& They met during the semi-finals


So to me the 2011 title game looks like The bracket will favor

District 2 champ (heath fulton)
vs.
District 3 champ (Freddy, SA Town East, Boerne Geneva, Lifegate)
