So my predictions were wrong. Granbury is out and i Longview is in. Freddy being in the state game didnt surprise me.

I got Freddy by 45 over Longview. Lets say. 58-6 @ half.

I'm really glad to see Game Traveler pick Freddy because he has been SO WRONG on just about every single prediction he's made all year long (especially when it comes to Trinity). Hope you didn't put the kiss of death on old Freddy like you have on every team you've picked!

Trinity is a Cinderella story??? They have been a very good program for a long time. And lucky??? If winning by 45 week after week after week is lucky then give me some lucky. They won by 45 eight times in twelve games this year. Lucky??? The are undefeated and have only had one close game against TAPPS teams. They have been ranked #1 most of the season. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

All that said, I will go with the team with the excellent defense and pick Freddy to win by two touchdowns.

Freddy has been on a roll. Sure they are not perfect on the season, but they are battle tested and everyone of those kids expect to be at the state game year in and year out. It is just another game for them. Everyone is defending Longview (#1 team, undefeated, blah, blah), but in the same breath you are picking them to lose to the football factory Freddy (except the "homers"). Freddy will 45 Longview...end of story. Looking at TAPPS past champions, there isn't much that Fredericksburg isn't good at. Oh and yes, Longview had one close game against a TAPPS team....Granbury, who Freddy just 45d. And david9h, I am due to be right one time this year...this might be that one time.

I expect a good game. Both teams average giving up 21 points per game stats wise. Offensive we average 39 and longview averages 61. But our offensive has came alive as of late. Looks like a good defensive game. I just think Longview has not faced a run game quit like Freds.

I've seen pretty close to two dozen Freddy games in my life. I'm not sure if I've used as many fingers to count the number of times Shipman passed the football.

Well Granbury's run game sliced and diced Longview. So if Freddy's is as good as everyone says, then it will be over before it starts. Looking at Longviews opponents records, fwcc and Leveretts Chapel were the only quality wins besides a good granbury team.

I was finally able to attend a Freddy game this year over Thanksgiving, and got one heck of a show. I watched my brother score 10 times with his legs, and add another finger, freeagent, cause he threw one as well. I know Shipman is good at getting those guys focused, and considering the state losing streak, they're hungrier than ever.

Longview is no joke. You can talk about SOS and opponents all day, but you don't go undefeated without being good.

I take Freddy. I see a high scoring dog fight and a four quarter battle. Unfortunately, Longview hasn't had too many of those...

In my opinion, Shipman makes it 6 this Saturday at Zephyr. Best of luck to both teams.

I agree Dixon that Freddy and legendary cosch Tim Shipmam make it 6 this saturday. There is no way Longview can pull it out. In my opinion.....it would be a HUGE upset if Longview beat Freddy. Heritage wins big and will coast.

The spread doesn't take into account how teams are playing now. It seems both teams are peaking though, so that part is a wash. They are plowing their way to this meeting. Freddy might have 45'd a NCTA team that was close with Trinity once, but Trinity 45'd a FWCC team that beat NCTA. The QB anchors one side of the defense that I don't see Freddy getting much on...they will have to expose the other side. This is a matchup that could go 7 in a 7-game series and whoever loses the first game would likely lose the next one, but since it is just 1 game, I say Freddy is more prepared and takes game 1...the only game. but after seeing WC get knocked out by Trinity, I root for them and the chance to keep Freddy from historical dominance.

Yes scone preperation is the key and the staff at Freddy is legendary. They will have those boys ready. I feel sorry for whomever is standing in their way on the field. Over at the half imo. They are like the Alabama or New England Patriots of TAPPS 6-man.

Glad you have so quickly come over to the good side GT. After your prediction last week of Freddy losing to NTCA, I am a bit surprised you now have them in the "legendary" status and comparing them to Alabama and New England. Whatever got into you is good though as long as you see the light and keep pulling for FH.

This is on Freddys site as there football record. So only 3 out of the last 10 years they have not gone to the state finals, the finals! That's pretty amazing.

GT just cant make up his mind on who his "team" is....but what is new, he has been confused all year long...At first I didn't think Trinity was the real deal but after I saw them play a few times, they are the real deal....They are a high powered offense that can score at any time and score quick...Their defense is pretty dang good and physical too...Speed kills and speed is what Trinity has....Trinity will hoist the state championship trophy come Saturday night....
