This one talks about the game where Sidney was about to 45 May back in 1995, then illegally recovered the second half onside kick. I didn't have the details then on that. A freshman from May came off the sideline and recovered the fumble. Somehow the officials gave May the ball with only a 5-yard penalty. They came back to score 48 unanswered points and win.
The coach that day for May? The current Principal Steven Howard. The quarterback at Sidney? Craig Steele, now the coach at May.
There are also several from the playoffs that talk about both Steele and Hayes. I call him the Blackwell Bulldozer at one point.
